You will report to the Director, Commercial Development. The position is located in Europe, preferably in Copenhagen, but this is not a strict requirement.
The Animal Health team has experienced very strong growth over the last three years and is market leader within its field of feed probiotics and silage starter cultures. We are an expanding organization and have ambitious growth targets going forward, which creates excellent opportunities for individuals that want to pursue a commercial role in a global technology-based company. We are a dynamic and dedicated team of 15 colleagues located in the Czech Republic, Denmark and Wisconsin, US.
Your tasks
- Develop global customer concepts with products and services based on customer demands, in order to grow sales and improve profitability for Chr. Hansen as well as the customers
- Develop product positioning/value proposition and identify marketing trials and marketing activities required to support this positioning
- Clarify priorities for the Swine business for each region in collaboration with Regional Sales Management
- Collaborate with Regional Sales Management to secure execution of strategies
- Develop launch plans and sales support tools (marketing materials) in collaboration with appropriate internal and external personnel
- Support sales force on technical matters / act as technical sales resource if and when required
- Oversee the product range from a global perspective in collaboration with account managers, production and product management
- Ensure alignment on pricing and obtain approval on prices from Director, Commercial Development
- Some travel, primarily in Europe, should be expected.
Your personal profile
The ideal candidate holds a Master degree level and has experience in management of Swine production. Further, the ideal candidate has a strong technical understanding – perhaps from the veterinary, perhaps from the nutritional side – as well as a commercial mindset and experience in people and project management.
The candidate has strong analytical skills and an ability to balance many different tasks and issues at any given time.
You have strong communication skills, a track record of achieving results and experience in collaborating with different cultures and nationalities. Must have the ability to read, write and speak English.
