Innovative initiative
As a new feature, the the money is donated through the Danish Red Cross website egenindsamling.drk.dk, writes Børsen. In general a shift has been noticed in the way the fundraising is taking place. The enterprises, Grundfos and Maersk last week to contact to the Red Cross to suggest the organization to create a common fundraising platform, and it is this initiative that has become the egenindsamling.drk.dk.
Success stories
In practice, the fundraising is taking place by managements and staff initiating internal projects at the workplace by means of email and intranet. Lots of initiatives in enterprises and other communities are reported. In many cases, the company management decided to double the donated amount from the employees.
At the insurance group TrygVesta six employees took the initiative to a fundraising among colleagues, and within a few days more than 170,000 kroner have been donated, while employees at the pump group Grundfos come next with donations amounting to more than DKK 100,000.
More conventionally, the management of the pharmaceutical group Novo Nordisk donated half million DKK to the Red Cross. Novo has also donated 50,000 insulin insulin ampoules, which are distributed by the non-profit organization Project Hope.
