The position is new and you will join the LEGO Service Center Facilities department in Billund.

Your role
Securing full alignment with the operational and strategic efforts is an important part of your role. You act as the link between the operational energy management, handled by an Energy Manager within our department, and the strategic energy management handled by the Corporate Governance & Sustainability department. Last mentioned is a department, you will work closely with, as you participate in setting up the ambitious targets within energy efficiency and give input to the strategic agenda. Your job is to translate the strategy into tactical plans and initiatives.
Build up a global energy management platform
Your main responsibility is to design and implement a global energy management platform. You identify potential energy saving projects and initiatives throughout the organisation, prioritise them and evaluate them according to the strategic direction. Moreover, you help develop and implement projects and you are responsible for conducting energy audit reports.
When the platform has been implemented you coordinate and secure the continuous delivery of all activities. Furthermore, you are involved in local implementation of alternative energy resources in Denmark as well as on international locations. Finally, you take on a leading role in the efforts to increase energy awareness across the organisation.
Deep knowledge of a variety of energy sources
Your expertise lies within the field of energy management and you have a background as Certified Energy Manager (CEM) or Professional Engineer (PE). Furthermore, you:
- have a deep knowledge within energy rules and regulations on a global level
- are familiar with various energy certification standards e.g. LEED
- have proven performance in facility management
- have proven strategic and management skills
- keep yourself updated on alternative energy sources
- are fluent in English
You are an entrepreneur at heart and motivated by developing a new area as well as working with different energy sources and markets. With your solid experience and well founded business understanding, you manage to give clear recommendations to Corporate Management – and stick to them. You thrive in an outgoing and visible role working with many different colleagues and stakeholders every day. Finally, you have a good ability to engage in constructive dialogue and you know how to be both diplomatic and persistent when needed.
