Do you want to work with development projects within milk-based ingredients and develop high-class products for the global food industry? Then you might be one of our 2 new Food Scientists in the R&D Global Ingredients centre, located in West Jutland, Denmark. The centre has modern laboratories and a pilot plant and is one of the leading suppliers of milk-based ingredients. Due to maternity leave both positions are temporary within the development of nutrition drinks and functionality respectively.

1. Nutrition and protein drinks

The first position is situated in the Separation Technology Department where you are responsible for developing milk-based ingredients for nutritionally balanced drinks. You work with processes within Separation Technologies such as membrane filtration and chromatography, and you drive the development projects all the way. At the same time, you will have the opportunity to work with the application of ingredients to final products e.g. sports drinks and clinical drinks.

2. Functionality

The second position is situated in the Ingredients Department where you work with functionality and general nutrition. Here you develop ingredients for the food industry, and you focus primarily on process, chemistry and functionality in Arla Foods’ milk based ingredients. You will be in charge of driving the projects while you perform a wide range of tasks such as exploratory tests in the pilot plant and implementing newly developed products and processes in our factories in the Nordic countries.

Engineer specialised in Food Science or similar

For either position you are an educated Engineer in Food Science, Chemistry, Dairy Science or have a similar relevant education. Experience with separation technological processes is an advantage if you want to work with ingredients for nutrition drinks. If you want to work with functionality you must have experience with food chemistry and/or the processes. As a person you are outgoing, and your communications skills enable you to achieve results in co-operation with colleagues and partners. In your work you are structured and comfortable with challenges and responsibilities. Finally, you have proficiency in verbal and written English.
