As a qualified Forrester or Engineer you will join our boiler plant department, which is part of Engineering, a technical knowledge centre at the forefront of the development within energy and environment. Engineering’s staff of 450 employees includes 400 engineers.
Our department offices are located in Skærbæk near Fredericia and at Teglholmen in Copenhagen. As a member of our boiler plant team you may freely choose to be employed at either office.
Areas of responsibility
Together with your 22 colleagues in the department you will participate in the design and planning as well as development of biomass energy projects both in Denmark and abroad.
Your primary tasks are to focus on forest management, overview, due diligence work and the development of forest investment projects abroad. You also prepare and establish operational and technical forest overview, including sustainability assessments.
Furthermore, your tasks are to:
- participate in the general development of biomass plants, ie basic design
- participate in developing plans on biomass sourcing, including commercial agreements, technical installations and logistics
- develop site-specific biomass energy projects, primarily by establishing and maintaining biomass fuel supply
- participate in contract negotiations with potential partners, eg site owners, harbour companies, authorities and suppliers
- manage contact with external partners, eg regulatory authorities, environmental stakeholders, coalitions and landowners.
Your profile
You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Forestry or Engineering combined with approximately 10 years of experience within the fields of biomass fuel supply management and power industry.
Furthermore, you have experience in plant investments and economics and working knowledge of contract negotiation and project management.
You have excellent English language proficiencies and communicate effectively in writing and speech.
It is essential that you have a systematic and result oriented approach to your work and can deliver high-quality results. You have a flair for working with complicated and analytic issues. Additionally, you can create results through team work and develop good relationships to your colleagues and external business partners.
