Project Engineering Manager – Maersk FPSOs, Copenhagen, Denmark

Maersk FPSOs is preparing the organisation for future growth and we are currently looking for new senior colleagues to strengthen our Projects and Engineering Departments in Copenhagen, Denmark.

As Project Engineering manager, you will be supporting our project management teams which are part of FPSO projects, responsible for building and maintaining technological excellence, developing safe and environmentally sound and operationally effective oil & gas production facilities. Turn technical requirements into excellent project results

Your overall task will be facilitating the progression of technical projects, being responsible to the Project Manager for quality deliverables in adherence to the project schedule. You will negotiate resource requirements with department Heads and other key stakeholders worldwide, and be responsible for technical specifications forming part of subcontracts or direct purchases.

Also, you will be in charge of interdisciplinary design verification as well as quality and safety control, project control and document management. This will involve securing the project engineering requirements for discipline reviews, HAZOP, audits, etc.

You will ensure the development, sharing and implementation of project specific philosophies, standards, and guidelines across the project and engineering teams, interacting closely with colleagues throughout the organisation. Moreover, for each project phase and scope, you will be responsible for our interface system, Management of Change system and other project tools.

Strong engineering background and solid industry experience

You probably have an MSc, BE, or PhD in engineering with 8+ years of up-to-date experience from oil and gas upstream industry projects, including significant offshore experience. Further, you should have experience from FPSO project management teams and be experienced in managing multi-discipline engineering teams, focusing on quality output and timely delivery.

As you will also function as team leader, you will need strong interdisciplinary leadership skills, enabling you to your project teams smoothly through front-end, design, construction and commissioning phases, meticulously ensuring a firm safety focus. Finally, you possess good communication and social skills, giving you the ability to effectively represent Maersk FPSOs externally across nationalities and cultures.
