Service Transition
Service Transition is a new department in Vestas allocated under the Service Delivery umbrella next to Service Operations and Service Support. The responsibility of Service Transition is to coach all service developments (e.g. projects, changes, upgrades on applications and infrastructure) to proper hand-over for deployment in Service Delivery while assuring Operations and Support readiness to take over the responsibility to operate and support these services. Service Transition will consist of two departments, Service Introduction Management and Release & Deployment Management. According to current planning, Service Transition will host 14 employees within Group IT.
Service Introduction Management
Service Introduction Management will coach all application and infrastructure projects from Stage Gate 1 (high level functional design) to Stage Gate 6 (project review and closure) to develop all required documents to enable a proper hand-over into Service Operations and Service Support. It also assures the readiness of both departments to support the project teams with all required infrastructure and services during the duration of the projects as well as to properly take over these services into production after Go-Life.
Responsibilities and Tasks
Coaching responsibility for all SAP and SAP related projects between Project Stage Gates 1 and 6 to properly prepare for hand-over to Service Operations and Service Support.
- Verify and confirm that SAP applications and related technology solutions are fit for the intended purpose.
- Approve SAP applications and SAP related technology solutions readiness and all their related deliveries for hand-over to Service Support and Service Operations.
- Ensuring that the introduction of new and modified SAP and SAP related services happens in a planned, controlled and timely manner so disturbances to day-to-day services are minimised
- Ensure as Service Owner for new SAP and SAP related services and solution, that solution quality as well as performance is aligned to Group IT best practices and expectations.
Qualifications and Work Experience
Professional profile:
- Education: Master degree in IT or Business
- Work experience: 3 years as Release Coordinator or 3 years experiences in SAP consulting
Other:
- Solid understanding about Release Management
- Solid Business acumen and business process understanding
- Strong in ITIL processes
- Fluent in English oral and written
- Multi cultural understanding
