SICEF is Denmark’s leading career fair and the place where you can meet a wide range of Danish and international companies, regions, municipalities and organizations to informal and informal talk about career opportunities – for now or later. At the fair you can ask questions about job opportunities, thesis writing, internships, etc. You can ask people how it is to work in the company and hear more about the application process.
Show who you are – and be remembered!
Career Fair is a unique opportunity for you. You get a direct access to many companies and can show who you are. You can “plant a seed” with the HR consultants and ensure that your name is remembered in the future when vacancies to be filled. You can thus put a face and personality to your CV. At the same time you created a personal relationship you can build.
Why come if not I am looking for a job?
Companies spend lots of energy on branding and to be “top of mind” with customers and potential employees. We students should do the same thing. If you can create you a personal brand and good relationships with employees of different companies, you’re many steps ahead when you eventually have to choose a (new) job. Think long term and use the fair to create your own career.
Inspiration for the future – advice for the present
On SICEF the direct dialogue between you and the businesses takes place is the focus area. Moreover, we do a lot to prepare you better for job applications – now or in the future. In our Personal Shop, for example professional career counselors will be present who are ready to help and guide you, including by matching your specific skills and interests with those companies that meet these characteristics. They can help with CV writing and advice for the interview. Additionally, you can hear inspirational presentations, which may highlight a career opportunity, you haven’t even thought of?
