Workflow is one of the newer parts of Maersk Line’s system landscape, and the aim for the project is to have as many as possible of the large amounts of defined processes, that are executed in all the areas of Maersk Line, on this tool. The potential is huge: Standardization of processes, making processes run more efficient, optimization of processes – all in all making a significant contribution to Maersk Lines bottom-line results.
The aim is to deliver multiple projects – meaning various processes from Maersk Line – on our new workflow tool, and ensure that all these projects has a well coordinated and highly scalable hardware platform to operate on. All this with 24/7, 365 days a year operations with thousands of concurrent users globally.
You will be interacting with especially our internal Facilities Management Group, and our selected partner as to hosting and operations, Hewlett Packard.
You are mainly required to work closely with our facilities management office, who are the party having the day-to-day contact with our vendors, but also with project office, simplification and others teams.
Essential job tasks
a) Coordinate and facilitate the procurement and install of hardware with Facilities Management on behalf of the workflow project.
b) Build a world class hardware platform for our workflow project, allowing the platform to be scalable and available to the full extent of Maersk Lines demands.
c) Coordinate and facilitate the procurement and install of the various system and software components needed for the workflow project.
d) Identify and promote innovations that will improve the overall value and cost-effectiveness of using workflow to Maersk Line.
e) Support Delivery Manager and Project Manager in overall decision making as to hardware, setup and utilization.

The applications and the infrastructure you will be dealing with are:
• Oracle Business Process Management Suite (OBPM) – the workflow orchestration engine chosen by Maersk Line.
• ILog Rules Engine (now IBM Rules) – the tool chosen by Maersk Line to handle rules, meaning variations to the main processes.
• Sun Solaris hardware platform – using a mix of Intel blade server modules as well as Solaris blade server modules on the 6000 chassis platform with the latest configs.
• Platform selected to provide our high performance and high availability from the business
About You
You are the ideal candidate if you have a sense of urgency and result orientation, and if you can communicate and drive the necessary changes within our organization. You should be capable of working in a high pressure team environment with a strong focus on agile development processes. We are searching for a person with a high degree of knowledge related to processes and IT application management.
You have knowledge of system integration, databases, internet based connectivity and project management. You have an interest in leading all phases of development projects including project management methodologies and processes. Most of all, you are very familiar with 24/7 operations of systems hosted externally.
Experience with Maersk Line global systems is an asset, but not a pre-requisite. Experience in architecture is a prerequisite, and knowledge of workflow would be an asset.
